Hi! I'm so glad you're here. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and what inspired me to create AFTRS Aesthetics.

My Story

My name is Anice, 

I’m 25, and my journey in the beauty industry began in 2022 when I started cosmetology school. I graduated in June of 2023, excited and eager to see where this path would take me.

While I was in school, I stopped getting my nails done regularly so I could focus on paying for my education. That’s when I bought a Gel-X kit and started doing my own nails again. Years earlier, I had experimented with acrylics but never quite mastered them. Something changed during school. I was constantly doing my nails—and soon, the nails of other girls in my program and even my boyfriend. That’s when I realized how much joy I found in the creativity and detail of nail art.

After graduating, I discovered that while I loved doing hair, nails were where I truly excelled. I spent the next two years working in a barbershop, continuing to grow my skills before moving to North Carolina when my boyfriend began grad school. I started working in a salon there, and it quickly became clear that nails were my true passion. The designs I was creating became more detailed and intricate than I ever imagined.

Whenever I flew back to Utah, I would do my family’s nails, and those moments reminded me just how much I loved what I was building.

After my boyfriend graduated and accepted a job in Idaho, we moved once again. I initially worked for an airline, but I knew something was missing—I wasn’t doing what I loved. So I took a leap of faith, left my job, and committed to building my own nail business.

AFTRS was born from my love for music festivals. I’ve been attending festivals since I met my boyfriend, and one of my favorite things to create has always been festival nails. They’re bold, vibrant, and fun—tiny pieces of wearable art that allow full self-expression. I do my own nails for every festival, and they remain some of my favorite sets to this day.
